Eclipse release Train Luna
- Luna is a turning point for PolarSys as it includes:
- Papyrus 1.0
- Sirius 1.0
- The steering committee is working on a documented technology vision that will be published for review in the coming weeks.
- We plan to have a PolarSys newsletter in September to advertise PolarSys features and projects available in Luna
- Submit an article
- Start working on datasheets for main projects
- Papyrus
- Sirius
- Action: Gaël Blondelle to provide a datasheet template under Open Office
- Evolution in the distribution of PolarSys packages
- Published packages will be derived from packages tested and deployed by PolarSys members.
- Still under definition
- No more a single PolarSys IDE package because it is too complexe to test and integrate for the moment : the public download page of Polarsys and its roadmap need to be updated
- Idea to package a PolarSys platform that contains and consolidates all the parts common to main potential PolarSys packages (Eclipse ptf, Modeling, eGit, ...)
- Create a working group on this topic if relevant.
- Action: Gaël Blondelle to update the PolarSys download page to reflect current discussions.
EclipseCon Europe
- Call for Paper ends on August 11. Early bird on July 31. Submit your talk on the website.
- Organisation of an Unconference on Monday 27
- Possible to organize specific tutos, brainstorm sessions, ...
- Organisation of a Papyrus and modeling technologies summit on Tuesday October 28.
- Indicate your interest on the wiki page.

Incose Symposium
- Very interesting conference
- Best place to meet the US System Engineering ecosystem
- PolarSys could participate to MBSE WG and to Tools and interoperability WG.
- Should plan to go to the Incose Workshop near Los Angeles on January 24 - 27, 2015
- Should plan to go to the next Incose Symposium in Seatle on July 13 - 16, 2015
- Take a booth for PolarSys
- Participate to the tools vendor challenge organized by the interoperability WG
Embedded World Conference
- Embedded World Conference is the biggest European conference in our domain. Next edition will occur in Nuremberg on February 24-26, 2015.
- We want to have a good visibility for PolarSys in the conference and through talks and a booth.
- Submit papers at the call for paper.
- Please submit a talk before it is too late, and send me an email so that I can know the status of our submissions.
- We can submit papers for a lot of topics, including:
- Functional Safety Systems
- Embedded system Architecture
- System Level Design, Open Source Projects
- Model Based Design
- Development Tools
- Deadline for the CfP is September 2nd.
- Booth
- Tell us if you want to participate to the « PolarSys/Eclipse » village.
- We will have a large booth, and we will have room for several PolarSys and Eclipse members to exhibit together. Each member that comes to the village will have to pay a part of the booth, but the price will be lower than if you go there alone, and we will create a mass effect that provides better impact and visibility.
- Please come back to me if you want to know more about the conditions.
Status about Maturity Assessment
- New actions in the Maturity Assessment Task Force
- Goals is to run maturity assessment on several PolarSys projects by the end of the year as a prototype of the final process.
- Fixed maturity model to start. To be reviewed on the mailing list.
- Leverages data from the new Eclipse dashboard.
- Prototypes on GitHub.
Other topics
- Discussion on the mailing list to create a simple profile for Papyrus.
