Notes
We started the discussion with the current legal issues. We are still awaiting a response from Janet Campbell about her concerns for the EclipseME contribution. Our last communication stated that we would hear from her before the end of June, but we have not received her concerns yet. [ Update after meeting. We have now received some responses from Janet. She was our of the office, and going through her backlog. As of July 20th, we have responded to her concerns about products referenced, and she is now looking at their copyright notices to make sure that everything is good.]
We next discussed the schedule and that we have a chain of events to try to meet a deliverable at the end of September. We need to have the legal comments and address them all by the end of July. In early August Nokia will publish our source code to the Eclipse CVS server, and we will have a milestone. At the end of August we will have a second milestone and then begin the process to release. If we do not receive and address the legal issues by the end of the month, our release will be at risk.
Then Kevin stated that we will have a planning meeting to discuss our second release. We currently have no planned dates for the release, but would like to solicit comments in the newsgroup, the developers mail group, or bugzilla from outside sources to use for this planning meeting. In addition we have our original release plans which has goals for our second meeting.
Kevin also forwarded our current user documentation and an SDK guide written by Arto to Stanley for review.
- Next call will be Thursday the 27th of July. Kevin will host the call.
