I borrowed a team of 3 people to test the Babel RC2 language pack update site
We performed the test on 3 different platforms (Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1) in the top 7 most complete languages (Simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Spanish)
We did not find any problems with the Babel RC2 language pack update site
In general, I think the Babel language packs are working as designed
I20090620-0400 finished
I ran the p2 publisher and the XSL transform against the build manually
New artifacts.jar and content.jar uploaded
Release plan
After hearing a few conversations on the mailing list, I think we agree that the language packs are in good shape to be released
However, we need more packaging and polishing works for the translation server, message editor, and other tools
How about releasing the language packs as 0.7, and try to enhance the translation server packaging in fall maintenance release?
