Indigo/Participating Projects (deprecated)
Offset category
Deprecated. No need to edit. You can now enter "offset" value directly n the Foundation Portal's tracking data. See the list of participating projects to see who is participating. |
The projects that plan to participate in the Indigo Simultaneous Release are listed below with their contribution offset category.
What is the offset category? It represents the latest possible day to make your project's final contribution towards a milestone or release.
All projects should contribute warm-up builds (and be prepared to react to warm-up builds) in the weeks leading up to your final contribution. This is similar to how projects (normally) provide intermediate builds and pick up intermediate builds of their prereqs before they get to their final build. The main purpose is to make sure there are no large breaking changes (such as changes in versioning, packaging, etc.) but also to help do some early sanity checking to make sure there are no large regressions in how dependent projects all come together and work together.
And, remember, to actually document your intent to join the yearly release train, you must mark the "simultaneousrelease" flag in the Foundation's Portal. This page is mostly to capture and communicate your planned offset category. This offset data may eventually be tracked as part of the Portal's tracking data. (See bug 329970).
